Quick Sight does provide an option within the admin console to directly transfer asset ownership to another user. This allows an administrator to seamlessly transfer assets including (dashboards, datasets, analyses, and data sources) owned by a user.

A QS author is leaving. How do we make sure the dashboards she developed still run, without her being an author? Will making someone else a co-owner of the dashboard be enough?

Hi The error message you shared clearly depicts that you don’t have the access to Quicksight data source. Once you got that access after that you were able to duplicate the dataset.
