So I have this use case where I have connected an .xlsc file to the quicksight and each day in the same file I will be updating the data with the same column headers. So currently I go to the quicksight and use the update file in the edit dataset.
However I would like to know is there an automated way where we can have a scheduled full/incremental refresh even for the files stored in the local folder.
Hi @samytar97,
Unfortunately if the dataset is stored in a local folder, there is no automated or scheduling option for uploads; you would have to continue doing manually.
Check out the article below for additional information on refreshing data. Let me know if you have any additional questions!
Thanks for clarifying it. However what would be the best approach you would suggest or an alternative workaround when we have an file in the local folder.
Hi @samytar97,
As it mentions in the article; “For files that you manually uploaded to SPICE, you refresh these manually by importing the file again.” So I believe that the way you are currently updating is the only solution available for your case.
