I’m trying out utilizing a google sheet as a data table which i’m connecting to some custom queries. I have dates that I need to utilize as join keeps but no mater what I try Quicksight will not convert them to date. I tried using parse date in a calculated field but then i’m not allowed to use this in a join.

Can you confirm if you are trying to accomplish this in the new data prep experience or if you’re using the legacy version?
Also, what does the format look like in your google sheets?

Thanks, Brett. This is the legacy layer. I’ve avoided the new data layer because there are so many limitations currently. This is what the google sheet looks like
Hi @dspringer, interesting as your date fields seem in proper format. This may have something to do with how QS is interpreting the field values. I would suggest creating a support ticket to report this behavior as they may be able to provide some additional context on if the values need to be adjusted in some way.
