Context: It appears that Quicksight is not able to refresh new columns from a joined dataset and the only way to get them to appear is to remove the join and recreate it. However, this causes the “changed to quickly error”.
I have completely removed the dataset from the analysis, published the analysis to a dashboard without the dataset.
Then I re-added the dataset and it still gives me that error. If I create a new analysis from the dataset itself it works fine so somewhere under the hood there is some hidden reference/connection that Quicksight is not removing even when a dataset is fully removed from an analysis.
Any ideas on how to resolve?
Hey @mjproperty ! I have run into similar issues in the past and it can be a pain to fix. In the past after re-uploading my dataset all I had to do was remove and re-add the fields to my visuals and it fixed the problem.
To clarify, did you add the join to an existing dataset that was being used in visuals/calculations already? Also, when re-adding a dataset, it needs to maintain the same schema so you need to maintain any changes you might have made.

Hey @mjproperty !
Do you still need help with this or were you able to find a solution?
Apologies for my delayed response, thank you so much for your input.
Unfortunately this was a case where it just fixed itself after awhile.
