We are experiencing issues with the donut chart visualization. When I changed the visual type from Donut to Pie chart , we did not encounter any issues. Snaps given below for reference.
Quick Sight query timeout is 2 minutes for a visual. In direct query, if the SQL for donut visual is taking more than 2 minutes, then it will timeout.
Check what optimizations possibilities you have ( eg : a more powerful backend database , reducing the amount of the data with filters , aggregated data )
If the visual is timing out in 20 seconds , I would recommend logging a support ticket.
