Filter Shows values in Analysis, however not in published dashboard

I have a Week selection filter, which shows values of Week 51 and week 52 on analysis. However Week 51 and 52 selection is not available in published dashboard.

To help troubleshoot I have a few questions:

  • What are you advanced publish settings?
  • How did you set up that filter, and is it a parameter control?
  • Is “Week 51” exactly how it appears in your field or is that a date data type?

I need more information, but my initial thought is maybe there is something about the way the filter or the field that the filter relies on that is stopping it from appearing in the dashboard.

Alternatively, I recommend you to create a similar sample on QuickSight Arena so that we can see your implementation and play around with it.

Thanks for the help team, the issue is resolved, after yesterdays refresh. I did not change anything. Will try the replicate my problem if possible and upload a sample Quicksight dashboard and share.

The same happened to me when a new month of data was automatically loaded and the new month option was showing in the filter at the analysis but not in the published dashboard. The following worked:

  1. Go to the published dashboard
  2. Hover over the selection filter and click on the button that appears at the corner
  3. Click “Update”
