How do you get the custom color on a dataset field to stick?

When I go to a field and select Edit field colors, I can put a HEX in the Custom Color area; however, once I go out and back in or refresh it disappears. I end up having to go to each visual. How do I get the Custom color to stick at the dataset level?

I assume that you are adding the custom colors to this area, correct?:

I’ve never had issues with the colors I set in this section changing back..would you be able to share some screenshots of your setup/outcome before and after setting so that we can try and diagnose what’s causing the colors to reset each time?

I started to do screenshots and then realized that I forgot about the second Apply button at the bottom. My apologies.
