im unable to enter hexadecimal color code in QuickSight for most of the visuals. is there any UI bug which preventing me to do this. All i see is, Series Style where i can change color but not with hexadecimal number. i am able to choose custom color option where i can provide HEX code but that field itself is not accepting any number and it looks like grayed out

Hope everything is well! Just tried it out for myself and noticed the same occurrence as well. Not sure if this indeed a bug or currently intended behavior. However, I will make sure to mark this post as a Feature Request so that the AWS Team can look further into this matter.

Were you able to submit a support ticket in reference to your occurrence?
Additionally, what type of visual are you working with where this is occurring? And additionally, where are you clicking to access this (since there are a few places you can assign coloring)?
I tested out on a number of different visuals, the only example where I encountered this issue was when testing out small multiples.
@Brett @WLS-Luis I’m having the same issue. I can’t type, click, or highlight the text in the HEX chart.
I’m approaching the menu from right click > style (all series or just that one, doesn’t matter) > fill color > custom color.
Last week I was able to manually enter the hex color in a horizontal bar chart but not a vertical stacked 100% bar chart. As of last night, the issue is on all chart types. I can only pick a color by dragging around the dot on the color palette. Is there an ETA on this?

Last time I tested this out, it seemed like the result happened when there was more than one field in the value section of the visual, is that the case for your scenario?
I have reported this issue to the AWS support team and while I received confirmation that they had received the request, I was not provided with a timeline on when this will be fixed.
If I receive further information regarding the completion, I’ll make sure to update this thread.
In the interim, what I did to get around this issue, I applied my desired color to a separate visual, that way it was saved in my ‘recent custom colors’ section, then I was able to just click the color as opposed to inputting the hex code.

There is only one field in the value well.
Yes i’ve come to the same conclusion about picking a color so it stays in my custom colors but some of the shades are very close and hard to keep track of. It seems like a weird bug. Thanks for your help!
