How to add filter in Geospatial map points?

Hi all. How can I enable my geospatial map points to act like a filter?

For example, when a user click on a point on the map (like a country), it will filter to that particular country in all the other visualisation.

There is a Quicksight demo that does this on the map - AWS QuickSight Solutions Gallery (d2lzvqq4w5ulk4.cloudfront.net)

Thanks.

Hi @dixerio

You can enable geospatial map points to act as filters by using the Actions feature.

  • Open the analysis where your geospatial map is located.
  • Click on the geospatial map visual that you want to use as a filter.
  • Enable Actions:
    • In the right-hand pane, go to the “Interactions” section.
    • Enable the option “Add actions”.
    • Choose “Filter” as the action type.

  • Configure the Filter:
    • Select which visuals should be filtered when a user clicks on a map point. You can choose to filter all visuals or select specific ones.
