How to include the "https://" on the URL when using 'Copy link' in Spaces?

When trying to share a Space, the ‘Copy link’ button provides a URL without “https://”. When this is shared in Outlook, it fails to provide the correct URL path to users. Can we include “https://” on the ‘Copy link’ URL to avoid this issue?

Hi @zaozirny,

Welcome to the Quick Community! Can you share a screenshot or share some details into what is specifically encountered when interacting with the link on Outlook? I wonder if this is a specific limitation with Outlook rather than Quick. I think so because the link should automatically be HTTPS, as when I pasted an example space into my browser and accessed it, double clicking the link should show that part included.

Thank you!

When I click on ‘Copy link’ my clipboard saves this: us-east-1.quicksight.aws.amazon.com/sn/spaces/1d1a4d19-b09d-4c86-903d-9a5e6a91ca42

Hi @zaozirny,

To workaround this, I believe this should be doable by making a Flow within Quick that concatenates “https://” with the respective Space link. If you have any questions on how to approach this, I would be happy to provide a quick example!

Regardless, since this post was already marked as a feature request, someone from the AWS Team may look into your question and see if further action can be taken. Let me know if this helps!

Hi @zaozirny,

Just checking back in since we haven’t heard from you in a bit. I wanted to see if the guidance shared earlier helped resolve your question, or if you found a solution in the meantime.

If you still have any additional questions related to your initial post, feel free to share them. Otherwise, any update you’re able to provide within the next 3 business days would be helpful for the community.

Thank you
