How to use Alt text option given under display settings of a visual

Hi,

I would like to understand how the ‘Alt text’ option under Display Settings (using the format visual option) functions once a dashboard is published. I tried adding some text, but it did not appear on the visual after publishing. I also couldn’t find any specific Quick documentation about this feature.
Please explain how to use the Alt text option and let me know if there are any limitations?

Hi @KranthiK,
As this is a new feature that just popped up in the last couple days, the documentation is still a bit light like you mentioned so I can’t say for certain; Alt text is normally refers to descriptive text that can be added to substitute a picture (or visual in this sense). In a use case where someone who may be visually impaired and relies on a screen reader, this would serve to better illustrate the visual that it’s representing.

I will attempt to confirm further as the documentation gets updated but that would be my best guess of this new feature.
