I need to show my total using horizontal stacked bar chart

Use case:
I have two columns
Example:
Column name – male -10 female-20
I need to show total of these columns using horizontal stacked bar chart without using action ,calculated field ,tooltip and all
It just need to show total at the end of the bars

Hi @priyanka1,
If you’re looking to show the totals for each bar, you can achieve that in the ‘format visual’ section under ‘Data Labels’

Unfortunately with stacked bar charts, there is not an option to choose the placement of the labels. But if you were to switch to a regular horizontal bar chart, you could setup the labels to be outside the bars.

Let me know if you have any additional questions or if this helps for your case!

Ok, but I need summation of two columns at the end of the bar and also it should show total count of column1 and column2 in the bars itself using horizontal stacked bar chart.

Thanks a lot!

Hi @priyanka1,
I’m sorry for any confusion on my half; in that case, yes using a horizontal stacked bar chart will work perfect. When you select ‘format visual’, toggle the data labels on. Make sure Label pattern is set to ‘All’ and you check the ‘show totals’ box (See below).
This will provide totals of each metric and the overall total for each group.

Thanks for your reply @Brett . But this total option is only available in horizontal stacked bar chart.

Hi @priyanka1,
Yes, in your initial comment you said you need to show the totals of the columns using horizontal stacked bar chart. Have your requirements changed?
