KPI Color Reverse Polarity Feature

Hi team,

Is there a toggle or feature for KPI comparison from previous time period and current time period to be able to be reversible? For example, last week our data shows 10 for days to resolve ticket. This week, our data shows 5 days to resolve ticket. 5 days is better than 10 day in our context, but QuickSight KPI will show this -50% difference as red color when we want it to be green.

It looks like KPI comparison from previous time period and current time period will show green or red solely on given value. There is no option to reverse the coloring based on context if less is better. Currently, all lower values are red as it is assumed to be negative, but decreases in some situations are actually beneficial i.e, Ticket resolution time.

This is the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) visual type with any value and trend group. The trend group will be colored based on negative or positive value. The objective is to have an option to reverse the coloring.

Hi @bxchin and welcome to the QuickSight community!
While I’m not completely sure how you setup your comparison, when you add a second field to the KPI, it should setup a comparison and conditional formatting that goes along with it.
You can alter the conditional formatting to swap the arrows and coloring:

Let me know if this works for your case. If you have additional questions, please share some screenshots of your KPI setup so that we can make further suggestions.

Thank you
