KPI Field displaying incorrect target vs value

I am creating a KPI visual on my dashboard to show the performance of how a specific observation was closed compared to what was expected. I set the KPI target value to .85 reflecting that the target must be at least 85% or greater but the trending data for the KPI shows that it is -99.89% which is not accurate. How can I fix this on the KPI to make it work correctly?

Hi @matanne,

Could you share a screenshot of how you setup your visual; maybe something like the following so that we can get a better picture of what fields are being used and where:

When you say that you set the target value to .85, did you use a field that only contains that value?

Additionally, you’re trending data outcome would be based on your field values, so is there any additional logic or aggregation taking place that could be causing this incorrect outcome?

Hi @matanne,

Following up here as it’s been awhile since we last heard from you on this thread; did you have any additional questions regarding your initial post or were you able to find a work around in the interim?

If we do not hear back within the next 3 business days, I’ll close out this topic.

Thank you

Hi Brett, sorry for the delayed response. I missed the first notification. Let me attach a screenshot here. The % overdue field is just the number of hits/number of total available

@Brett Attached some documentation here

Hi @matanne,
Is there any aggregation being used on the ‘Target Value’ field? I can’t tell as it’s cut off.

One thing you can do to test out various options would be to check the comparison options:

Additionally, another way to see why your variance might be off, double check the values behind the scenes by duplicating your KPI visual to a table chart. That way you can see the values and how they’re being compared. Without knowing the field values though, it’s a bit hard to suggest what the exact issue is for certain.
