I have a combo chart, when I include the field Motion (a calculated field) as part of the Group, the coverage ratio (line) in the legend, instead of being called Coverage Ratio as the field name, its called as the first value in the chart, which is not what I need. It works fine when I eliminate the Motion feld from Group. How can I fix this, where I can always showcase the group and the correct name for the Coverage field?
This is pretty interesting, and something I have never run into before. I tried to recreate this on a combo chart using a calculated field with a custom suffix, but wasn’t able to run into this error.
Is your calculated field on the dataset or analysis layer? Could you also share the visual properties menu, specifically the legend & data labels section?
Thanks for answering, I got this to work. The problem was the following, this dataset has been merged with an additional 2 datasets, so in total 3 datasets. When there is a Null value created by the join, if the Null is not filtered out from the fields that are used in the graph then you will get the first value in the legend name. In my case there was a Null in the Custom Motion field, once I filtered it out I got the name of field in the Legend, which is what I needed. Thanks nonetheless!
