Hi We are using QuickSight as an enterprise and have multiple datasets loaded on QS which are utilizing spice memory. Is there a way to know which datasets are consuming most spice memories. Currently we have to ask each user to share the list of datasets they have loaded and figure out by selecting each of the datasets.

Is there a quicker way or admin access to extract this list of datasets?

Hi @Pranjal -

Currently the QuickSight UI does not show a granular view of the SPICE utilization. You can use the QuickSight API to ListDataSets and then iterate the response through DescribeDataSet which has an attribute “ConsumedSPICECapacityInBytes”.

One limitation is that the API does not support Excel or CSV dataset types.
