Maximum steps of Quick Flows?

I was creating a flow automation for one of my team’s processes. However, while I was building flows in Quick, after 41 flow steps, I encountered an error: Failed to update flow

Could you please advise whether flows have any limitations or a maximum number of steps?

I noticed that when I tried to create new steps, I received an error. However, when I deleted existing steps, I was able to create new ones successfully.

Hi @chmaraya and welcome to the Quick Community!

From what I can tell, there is no documentation that states a limitation to how many steps you can have in a flows. However, that is not to say that there isn’t a limitation.

I would recommend trying to see if you can consolidate any of your existing steps and maybe that will allow the flows to run more efficiently. Additionally, you can submit a support ticket and the support team will be able to further investigate on why you are encountering the error. Refer to this resource on how to submit a ticket (Case management - AWS Support).

Thanks @JacobR for above details.

However as I need more user input(s), so, I configured mostly the text fields in my flow. So, expecting it can’t be optimized.

And also by any chance, do you know if Quick-suite team is developing any drop-down options as user input; or just going on with Text/ Files? Could you please support me on whom to reach-out for the feature requests?

~Thanks in advance

Hi @chmaraya ,

Unfortunately I do not think it is possible to have a drop-down option to select between text or files given that they are two separate steps. You can try to put them within a reasoning group and add in some logic that tells the flows to ignore a step if one of them is left empty but that would not solve your problem.

Additionally, I am not an AWS employee, so I am unaware of any feature roadmaps for Quick. However, I can attach the ‘feature-request’ tag to this post to help increase visibility to the Quick team.
