I have a database that I would like to connect through QuickSight. I asked my coworker to change the inbound/outbound rule so that the Postgres allows QuickSight to be connected. He used these two documents: Authorizing connections from Amazon QuickSight to Amazon RDS DB instances - Amazon QuickSight, Create a private connection from QuickSight to Redshift or RDS | AWS re:Post (repost.aws)
However, I’m still getting the issue of connection timeout error. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
Hi,
Check these rules
- Create or identify an IAM role associated with the Amazon Redshift cluster.
- Add the IAM policies
AmazonS3ReadOnlyAccess
andAmazonAthenaFullAccess
to the IAM role.
