Numerous attempts to highlight this issue have been dismissively closed with a standard ‘part of the current roadmap’ excuse. Meanwhile, this issue has remained unresolved for years, with no substantial updates provided.

First of all, I know there have been multiple topics around this issue before, I listed them at the bottom of this post (could only list 2 since I’m new here but there are many more). However, I wanted to create a new one in order to stress the importance of this issue and how it is imho blocking many to consider Quicksight as a valuable option. Quicksight has data source options for Aurora (PostgreSQL), RDS (PostgreSQL) & bare PostgreSQL, however, currently it only supports soon to be EOL vers…

Could we please keep this topic open for future updates, allowing users to endorse it with a +1, rather than compelling them to open new topics to draw attention to this issue? I understand that topics might be archived to meet certain ‘questions closed’ targets, but archiving does not imply that the issue has been resolved or that the users/clients are satisfied.

Frankly, the fact that this issue has persisted for so long is disappointing and severely undermines my trust in the team responsible for resolving it.

My QuickSight cannot connect to RDS PostgreSQL DB via VPC

Hello, I am trying to connect from QuickSight to an AWS RDS PostgreSQL database within a VPC but the connection validation fails. Aurora Postgresql Serverless V2 supported versions

Earlier this year I had to provision a new Aurora Postgresql serverless v2 cluster with version 13.10 as none of the newer versions that i tested worked with Quicksight. However this version is reaching EOL and it looks like I’ll need to update to a newer version of Postgresql. What versions of Postgresql are compatible with Quicksight, I’m using Aurora Serverless V2 (I/O optimized)?
