Q&A from the live session | Getting Started with Agentic AI in Amazon Quick Part 2

Questions and Answers are generated from chat logs and transcripts of the live session on Webex

Q: If Quick is using IAM Identity Center for authentication, I wasn’t able to create a Slack extension. The error message is explicit: “Extension cannot be added. IAM Identity Center is not supported for these extensions.” Is this a known issue?
A: Slack should be able to be added to your Quick account. This will be recorded as a bug to our team to investigate. IAM Identity Center might not be configured through your Slack, which could be the reason. We’ll get your information from our registration and connect you with our team to help resolve this issue.

Q: Great feature, but I don’t see the chat pane in Quick home page. I’m using US East 1.
A: This might be due to your admin’s configuration. If they don’t have Quick capabilities enabled in your account, your environment might just look like a QuickSight experience. This will be up to your admin if they choose to enable these agentic features or not - they can turn them on or off. If your admin wants to learn how to enable these features, they should attend our session next week where Yang will be covering the admin experience and how to configure and give access permissions for different capabilities within Quick.

Q: Not just the chat agent - clicked on new features and all of them say it’s not available due to your region, roles, or permissions.
A: This probably has to do with your permissions. You might want to talk to your admin if you want to turn these capabilities on, or if they want to check out our session next week to make sure they’re giving you the right access and permissions to these features.

Q: Can we customize the QuickSight dashboard?
A: Yes, you can customize the dashboard. If you mean by certain logos or themes, that’s all done within QuickSight. There’s heavy documentation on how to do so. We’ve also recently launched additional capabilities for customization. This would be a great topic for a future Quick Learning Series session to cover in more detail.

Q: Is there a pricing tier for using, for asking the agent questions like there was for using Q? It’s 500 questions are included, the next are charged at a fee per tier.
A: Pricing is based on the type of user that you are. We have different user subscriptions that vary based on users per month:

  • Professional user: $20 per user per month
  • Enterprise user: $40 per user per month

These have different capabilities to do different things inside Amazon Quick. The pricing for chat is based on your capability usage. For research agent, it’s capped based on the hours that it’s used to generate your research. For detailed pricing information, please refer to the Amazon Quick pricing page.

Q: Can we customize the QuickSight dashboard, like using an HTML dropdown control or different kind of graph etc.?
A: Yes, you can customize dashboards. For advanced customization including different types of graphs, you can use HighCharts integration in Amazon Quick.

Q: Is there a pricing tier for using asking the agent questions, like there was for using Q? (i.e., 500 questions are included, then charged a fee per tier)
A: For pricing information, please visit: Agentic AI-powered workspace – Amazon Quick Suite cost – AWS

Q: I just completed dashboard with Quick, but I did not see Q bar at top of dashboard like QuickSight. I’m seeing “Analyze this dashboard in a Scenario”
A: This could be due to your access permissions from your admin. The chat agent is accessible via the pink icon at the top right corner.

Q: How can we add Quick icon to my Outlook?
A: Your M365 admin can help with that by adding permissions. Check out our documentation for further information: What is Amazon Quick Suite? - Amazon Quick Suite

Q: I understand all recordings will be available. How about the slides you’re showing, can we have them?
A: I can’t share the slides but videos will be available on our YouTube and community.

Q: I do not see the integration option on my dashboard. Does it mean I need to set it up first?
A: Yes, that means it needs to be set up first by your administrator.

Q: What was the design choice that differentiated between Integrations and extensions? Aren’t they essentially the same thing?
A: They’re similar but integrations brings in outside info into your Quick environment while extensions brings in your Quick data (like spaces, custom chat agents) into your other apps.

Q: I have a Dashboard with a Visual of type Table. The Table is connected to a Dataset that has 100,000 rows. The Visual only shows the first 500 rows in the first Table page. When I ask the Agent about my data, it only responds relative to the 500 rows in the first page, not the whole data in the dataset. Is there a way to accomplish this?
A: If you add your dashboard to a space, try asking questions that way as it inherits your whole dataset.

Q: Are those new visual charts available to create in QuickSight?
A: Yes, created through HighCharts!

Q: Is there any workshop link available for these demos?
A: Here is a workshop our SA team created: catalog.us-east-1.prod.workshops.aws/workshops/119307ce-4c43-4e96-887c-cd8454b3d229/en-US

Q: Does integrating Teams and Outlook allow you to share your visuals with colleagues who don’t have a Quick license?
A: You can send messages but not visuals as they would have to login to view. A workaround would be to take a screenshot.

Q: Can you please demonstrate adding visuals from different dashboards to your homepage?
A: In our getting started playlist, the homepage demo shows that. You can find it here: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLezocM4lAvHuAhVe4zyDQJKgZtrH2RCgf Note: Please be mindful when interacting with displayed links.
