I currently have a Quick Suite custom chat agent running for our team, integrated with SharePoint as a knowledge base.
Recently, I created a SharePoint List to track task progress and wanted to extend the chat agent’s functionality to create new tasks directly in that sharepoint list. However, it appears that the current SharePoint integration does not support the Create/Add Item function for list items. I’m unable to create new items either through the chat agent or via Flow—only the update functionality seems to be available.
Has anyone implemented a workaround for this? For example, using a different connector, API-based approach, or an intermediate service to enable item creation in a SharePoint list?
I would potentially double check your Azure AD to make sure that you have all the permissions needed or potentially skipped a step in the integrations. If all that checks out, then I think next step is to create a support ticket and the support team will be better able to investigate your situation. Please refer to this resource on how to submit a support ticket (Case management - AWS Support).
Unfortunately, I’m not able to view AWS internal tickets or access internal links. However, since you mentioned there’s already a ticket open for this topic, I’ll mark this inquiry as complete for now. I’d recommend monitoring the internal ticket for updates, and please feel free to create another post if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.
