Quicksight dataset fails for Jira as data source as Query_Timeout

Hi

Are you using direct query?

I have added datasource as Jira and provided Base URL, Username, API token.

And then I see this after like 1-2 hours.

Hi

I mean to say which option you have selected while creating your dataset.

i have used SPICE query mode

Hi

Can you Filter the dataset, I mean apply filters to limit the amount of data being pulled from Jira (e.g., date range, issue types, or project-specific data) or you could just pull data for one day or week?

When I try to add a Jira dataset I get the following screen, I don’t see anything to query date or put filters to.

Can you please guide how, same can be achieved?

Highlighted the SPICE enabled section in the screenshot.

Hi @Aditya_Arora,
It’s been awhile since we last heard from you, are you still encountering the same issue or were you able to find a work around?

Have you explored this article? I also found another community post that explored Jira connections to QuickSight and included below for additional reference.

If we do not hear back within the next 3 business days, I’ll go ahead and close out this topic.

Thank you!

Hey Brett,

Thanks for the suggestion.

As I understand using this method will require me to buy Cdata Cloud Data provider’s subscription too.

Hi @Aditya_Arora,
I’m not completely sure as I’ve not had to attempt this myself. I’ve found another article as well that I wanted to share in case it may be helpful.

Let me know if you have any additional questions!
