Receiving "Unable to update file" "Something went wrong" when trying to upload an updated excel file

Does anyone know why I am receiving this message? I was able to update my data before with no issues, but recently I’ve been having issues with it to the point where I created a new dashboard, analysis and data set and it’s still having issues. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @wirkuty - Just check the excel file is NOT opened. If it is open, please close and upload it again.

Hi @Sanjeeb2022 - Thank you for the quick response. I am still receiving the same message even when the excel file is closed. Are there any other troubleshooting steps I can take?

Hi @wirkuty - This is bit strange. Can you give a try in Cognito mode . Also are you trying to create a new data set or replace an existing data set?

I tried to replace the data with a new file but it continued to do the same thing, regardless of the different attempts. I ended up just recreating the dashboard and dataset since it didn’t seem to be letting me update the file.

Hi @wirkuty - Sorry to hear this. This is bit strange. Is it possible to raise a ticket to AWS customer support team so that they can view this issue by screenshare. To raise the request, please follow the below link - Creating support cases and case management - AWS Support

We should understood the root cause of this problem. One another thing you should try import the excel sheet to a new data set and then replace it in your analysis as well. In that way you do not need to recreate analysis and dashboard again.
