I have a datetime filter what does the rolling date feature do.
Hi @Tanu_13
Rolling date feature in datetime filters allows selection of dynamic, relative date ranges (like last 7 days, this month, nor previous quarter) instead of a fixed calendar date. This means filter values automatically adjust based on the current date/time, keeping dashboard data fresh without manually updating filter settings each time.
Please refer to the below Quick Sight documentations and community posts this might be helpful for you.
Hi @Xclipse , can you explain me what do you mean by each time , because when the user visits the dashboard first time the default rolling date is selected in the filter but when user refresh the dashboard the default rolling date is not selected.
Hi @Tanu_13
On the first visit to the dashboard, the default rolling date configured in the filter setup (ex: last 7 days or this month) is automatically applied. This ensures new users see current, dynamic data without needing to manually choose a date range.
After a user changes the filter or refreshes the dashboard, the most recent filter selections are stored locally in the browser session or possibly in user specific dashboard settings, so the default rolling date is not reapplied on every refresh.
Is there any way to set default rolling date after every refresh
Hi @Tanu_13
It is not possible to automatically set the default rolling date after every dashboard refresh. Once a filter is changed, the most recent filter selections are stored locally in the browser session. As a result, the default rolling date will not be reapplied on every refresh unless the filters are manually reset in the dashboard.
