S3 Integration/Knowledge Base

I tried the S3 Integration/Knowledge Base for Quick and my public S3 url does not work. I setup the S3 Policy exactly as specified in the documentation.

The error is “S3 bucket URL must be a valid S3 bucket URL”

I am pasting in a valid S3 url in the style “s3://BUCKET-NAME/KEY.csv”

I verified my S3 bucket is in the us-east-1 region and the Quick instance is also on us-east-1

Hi @rocky,

Welcome to the Quick Community! I think the reason that this may be occurring is because when pasting into a search engine, it will at least for me ask to use an SCP client instead of just taking me to the S3 page. If you are trying to access for example a bucket, I would just copy the link that your search engine provides when actually on the bucket.

Please let me know if this makes sense and helps at all! If not I can look further to see if there is a workaround in terms of the S3 Integration.

Hi @WLS-Luis

we faced the same situation

even if we follow these steps to turn on s3 buckets policies

Do you have any suggestions?

thanks

Hi @rocky @Ben1,

After looking into this more thoroughly, this is definitely some interesting behavior that is occurring. Just to be fully sure that your S3 bucket setup is complete, I would look at this documentation and follow the steps listed.

If that does not resolve each of your specific issues, I would definitely recommend contacting AWS Support by creating a support ticket, as they may be able to provide further guidance on accessing your S3 buckets.

Hope this helps!

@WLS-Luis Hi thank you for the reply

the document is really helpful

I’m wondering if we are still in quick suite trail 30 days so we are not able to have (Amazon Quick Enterprise) permissions?

Besides, do you know where to set up the iam permission of quick suite?

not sure whether the following screenshot is the right place to set

thank you for the kind reply again~

Hi @Ben1,

After looking briefly, I am not too sure if the Quick trial gives you Enterprise privileges. I would definitely look further into your Quick account to see if you are limited anywhere you would like to access.

And in regard to the IAM policy assignments, that should be the right place to assign permissions to account user(s)!

Are you not able to edit this assignment and enable it.

Hi @rocky,

Just checking back in since we haven’t heard from you in a bit. I wanted to see if the guidance shared earlier helped resolve your question, or if you found a solution in the meantime.

If you still have any additional questions related to your initial post, feel free to share them. Otherwise, any update you’re able to provide within the next 3 business days would be helpful for the community.

Thank you
