Hi Team, Is there a way to custom sort filters in AWS quicksight? More specifically I have a simple date filter formatted “January 2024”, “February 2024” … and so on. I would like the filter to set the date from most recent to latest within the filter without using an index like “01 January 2024”. Is this possible?
Hi @Luciano ,
You can use an external field to sort the date field in the visual. For the external field (means field not part of the visual), you can either use the date format 01 January 2024 or create an integer sort key such as 202401, 202402…202412 for each month year and sort it by the same.
Thanks,
Prantika
Hi @Luciano ,
Apologies for confusing the question, on rereading i understand you are looking to sort the values displayed in a filter controls. This is not possible right now in QuickSight. Filter controls and parameter controls list are automatically sorted in Ascending order.
Thanks,
Prantika
