Why can’t I use the custom aggregations calculated field on the X-Axis?

Custom aggregations can’t be converted to a dimension. They also can’t be dropped into the field well as a dimension.
Without knowing your use case, I am unsure if this type of visualization would be useful, but you can add a custom aggregation calculated field to either axis of a scatterplot as those axis take measures as input instead of dimensions.
