.xlsm file drag-and-drop rejected after latest Quick update

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Amazon Quick (latest version, updated Sep 2, 2026)
  2. Open any agent or default Quick chat
  3. Drag a .xlsm file (Vendor Central processing summary) into the chat input area
  4. File is rejected with: “The file was rejected. It may be too large or an unsupported type.”

Expected behavior: File is attached to the chat and accessible by the agent, as it worked in the previous version.

Actual behavior: .xlsm files are rejected on drag-and-drop. Other file types (.docx, .pdf, .txt) work fine. Pasting the file path as text works as a workaround.

Hi @tarickab

Welcome to the Quick community!

I’ve looked into this on my end, and .xlsm file drag and drop is working as expected on the latest version of the Amazon Quick Desktop app version 0.1000.3070 (Build 6505239708). I was able to successfully drag and drop a .xlsm file without any issues.

Could you please try the following steps:

  1. Close the Amazon Quick Desktop app completely (exit, not just minimize).
  2. Reopen the app, it will auto-update to the latest version on restart.
  3. Once updated, verify your version matches 0.1000.3070.
  4. Try dragging and dropping your .xlsm file again.
