I am trying to get Amazon Quick to update data from a CSV file onto an Asana board for metrics tracking. Quick complies the data and prepares it for upload but the “Allow” button is unresponsive. I am trying to authorize an Asana action connector to create a task. So far, I have tried opening Asana if Firefox and Chrome. I am open to any suggestions on how to get this to work.
Hello Jason,
I am not sure about the exact root cause. However, in order to troubleshoot, i would check few things as below
1. Check for Pop-up Blockers The OAuth authorization flow for action connectors often opens a pop-up window. If your browser is blocking pop-ups, the “Allow” button may not function properly.
-
In Chrome: Click the pop-up blocked icon in the address bar and allow pop-ups for the Quick site
-
In Firefox: Check the address bar for a blocked pop-up notification and allow it
2. Disable Browser Extensions That May Interfere Ad blockers, privacy extensions, or other security-related browser extensions can sometimes block OAuth flows. Try temporarily disabling them and attempting the authorization again.
3. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies Stale session data can interfere with OAuth flows:
-
Clear cookies and cached data specifically for both the Amazon Quick domain and Asana’s domain
-
Then retry the authorization
4. Try an Incognito/Private Window Open the Amazon Quick web app in an incognito or private browsing window. This eliminates interference from extensions and cached data.
5. Ensure You’re Using the Web App (Not the Browser Extension) Action connector setup and re-authentication must be done from the web app, not the browser extension. Make sure you’re accessing the full web app via: Navigation side panel → More → Connectors. If you’ve been trying from the extension, use “Go to web app” from the drop-down at the top of the side panel.
6. Check OAuth Token Expiration If you previously authorized the Asana connector and the token expired, you may need to re-authenticate. Try removing the existing Asana integration and creating a fresh one from the web app.
7. Verify Asana Permissions Ensure your Asana account has the necessary permissions to authorize third-party app access. Some Asana workspace admins restrict OAuth app approvals.
Hope this helps narrow down the issue and potentially fix it.
Cheers,
Deep
