Calendar visual

Hi,

I’m trying to create a calendar visualization that place issues based on topic and month

Topic July August September
topic X Issue A1
Issue A2
Issue B1
Issue B2
Issue B3
Issue C1
Issue C2
Issue D1
Issue D2
Issue D3
Issue D4
Issue E1
Issue E2
Issue E3
Issue F1
Issue F2

Any idea what visualization is relevant?
Thanks,
Amihai

Hi @amico,

Hope this helps from @robdhondt:

To customize the calendar background, you’ll need to use free-form layouts. Here’s a quick guide:

  1. Design Your Background: Create the background exactly how you want it to look.
  2. Utilize Layers: Arrange elements in layers to achieve the desired layout.
  3. Month Title: Use a visual or parameter to display the current month.
  4. Blank Layers: Use blank layers to hide any elements you don’t want displayed in the default QuickSight visuals.
  5. Multiple Layers: Utilize multiple layers to show multiple text labels within each day box.

Here’s a quick mockup. With this approach, you have the flexibility to spend as much time as you want on styling and formatting the calendar. The final look will depend on your preferences and the effort you put into the design.
