I’m currently using the Amazon Quick Slack app for custom chat agents in Quick that I’d like to access through Slack. However, when I click the gear icon in my Slack conversation with Quick to select an agent, I’m only seeing the system agent—none of my custom agents or agents that have been shared with me are appearing.
Is there a setting that needs to be enabled to allow custom chat agents to be accessible through the Slack extension?
Are there any organization-level permissions or configurations required for custom agents to appear in the Slack app’s agent picker?
Is there a sync delay I should be aware of, or are there specific steps I need to take to make my custom agents visible in Slack?
Welcome to the Quick Community! I am not too sure if custom chat agents can be utilized for public chats, but I would definitely reach out to a respective IT admin to ensure you do have the right permissions. If so, it is definitely possible that chat agents have some safeguarding for public DMs so that any sensitive information relayed is handled correctly.
I do not have much experience with the Slack extension, but upon researching this topic I do not think it is possible so far to use custom agents in slack. When I was looking into this through Slack, one of the pages (the configuration page) showcased the authorizations that are allowed through the slack extension. Below is the screenshot of what Quick can do in slack.
