Does QuickSight support highcharts drilldown capability?

I have been lately using more of highcharts for the visuals in my dashboard and want to know if the drilldown capability of highcharts is available in quicksight. I need to drill a highcharts visual by certain dimensions so want to know if that is possible

Currently, the highchart visuals still have some limitations in comparison to other visual options, interactivity being one of those which limits the ability to use a drilldown feature. For additional information and other limitations, you can check out the blog post below.

Thanks for the clarification Brett. I did go through the link shared a few days back but the limitation on the drilldown was not explicitly stated.

Here is what I am constrained with. I am using highcharts for one of my visuals and able to customize it a lot better than the built in column chart but I will have a drilldown that is not possible with highcharts.

  1. Is there a plan in the future to enable the highcharts drilldown capability?
  2. Is there a plan in the roadmap to add javascript capability as well in near future?

Hi @ramravin,
While AWS does not disclose their roadmap or timeframes, I cannot comment on what their plans are regarding Highcharts. I will mark this as a feature request to promote visibility but to keep an eye out on updates made, you can visit the ‘What’ New’ page

Thanks for the update Brett. My client is currently using AWS Quicksight for their dashboard requirements but I am as well doing a feasibility study on other tools available in the market as they have certain features in their roadmap that will need to be accomplished this year.

Do we have any update on highcharts? Is there plan to bring in the highcharts drill down and function features into QuickSight?
