I am currently wondering if it is possible to schedule multiple mails while making sure every mail uses a different filter.
e.g. I have product a and product b
And I want to send a mail to my colleague x which contains product a and too colleague y i want to send product b.
They should still be able to see all the details when they come to the board but the mail should only contain the relevant data. (This requirement excludes row level security in my mind)
I wonder why do you want to send your users explicit pdf email with desired filters selected respectively if they already have access to whole data in the dashboard ?
User reader could themself select the desired filter and export it to pdf if its enabled.
That’s probably a Product or BA question…
But just for the fun.
You first build a requested dashboard for users to use, and then right after it’s done, you send the entire dashboard to users’ inbox and assume they will use it.
@Deep : this would be to increase efficiency. Since it is a quick update for them in the morning. A bit like a uick morning briefing when you are anyway checking you mails.
@neelay : No that is exactly the problem. I want to have the full dashboard in Quick Sight and want to send out personalized mails to my colleagues.
I am afraid to say that while scheduling the report, filter does not get applied. usually the recipient would get the pdf with all the data.
