I have a dashboard with single sheet - multiple visuals and multiple filters.
I don’t want QuickSight to process data every time user edit each filters? It creates very heavy overhead when user want to change multiple filters.
I did “Update visual manually” selection, it works perfect in analyses. I get an “Update” selection on the top left corner in analyses.
But, when I publish the analyses as dashboard, the update button doesn’t show up. And the visuals starts auto-updating as soon as any filter is changed.
Spice - Overhead for the stakeholders as we have a heavy dataset with multiple calculations. It takes roughly 30-45 secs for the visuals to load after any filter change. So, useful for them to set multiple filters and then do apply that way the visual loads just once.
All visuals on the sheet (done by selecting all visuals from Some visuals option) @Max
Maybe you’re misinterpreting the question here. Sorry for that confusion.
The original ask:
Dashboard has multiple filters (say 10), I want to go give the stakeholder the ability to select values from N filters of those 10 before the visuals starts refreshing… So, basically single update for multiple filters rather than refreshing each time any 1 filter is changed.
“Update visual manually” works fine in Analyses but, I don’t see Update button in dashboard
