How to create a Date Drill Down in Quick Sight Visual?

Hi Team, Lets say I have a Order Date in my dataset and I created a bar chart with Year and sales and I want to enable the drill down feature that is up arrow and down arrow in the visual so that user can select the date based on there requirement.

Hi @Biswajit_1993,

When you publish your dashboard, you just have to make sure that drill up/down is enabled.

The user can then click on a bar and select “Drill down” or “Drill up”.

The up/down arrows only show on the visual after the user has drilled up or down.

Hi @David_Wong , Thanks for you reply but I want to see this in visual level with up arrow nd down arrow .

PFB the link for the demo dashboard where in the Policy Count by Issue Date & 14-Week Moving Average in the clustered bar chart they re using the drill down on date field.

I have highlighted in pink color

First try to to click drill as below depending upon your data and after that it should automatically appear in the visuals.

I’d like to share a small experience from today. I had a simple question on “How to add a Drill Down in a Quick Sight visual?” I tried various permutations and combinations on my own and also checked previous questions and answers. However, I couldn’t find a clear solution.

So, I decided to post my question in the community. @David_Wong responded quickly, though the solution he suggested was a bit different from what I needed. Then, I tagged the same question to @Deep and he provided the exact solution I was looking for within just a few minutes. Really, @Deep, you’re a champ on this platform!
