I want to share additional details that confirm this is a widespread bug:
Key Finding: I tested this on 3 DIFFERENT laptops (all Windows) — same error on all of them. This confirms it’s not machine-specific.
App Version: 0.1000.2144 (Build 6488073045)
What happens:
- Click Sign in → Chrome opens
- Click Allow access
- Browser redirects to 127.0.0.1 with auth code
- Error: “Login Failed — Could not reach the user information service” (displayed as raw/plain HTML)
What I’ve tried (all failed):
- Added app to Windows Firewall (Private & Public)
- Added port rules (inbound & outbound)
- Flushed DNS cache
- Disabled Chrome extensions
- Reinstalled the app
- Tested on 3 different laptops — same result
Important: The web version works perfectly — only the desktop app is broken.
Question: I’m an individual user (not enterprise). How can I create a support ticket? I don’t have access to the AWS Support Console. Is there a direct link or alternative way for individual users to report critical bugs?
Could you please escalate this to the Amazon Quick desktop team?
Thanks,
Sabari
