I have set up a Flow and the last step is to email myself the results, but I am getting a run needs an action review. How do I just make the email send automatically?
Hi @William_L_Morton and welcome to the community!
Unfortunately, certain actions like sending emails will require that extra layer of approval in order to carry out the action. Multiple other community users have made similar observations and comments about the behavior. I want to say on a previous AWS user event series webinar that it was mentioned that they are working on trying to reduce the number of approvals needed. But, with that being said, I have no knowledge on when those changes would be available to the public.
Hey Jacob,
Thanks for the information. Do you know how I could get approvals for this? Which team to talk to?
Hi @William_L_Morton ,
Unfortunately, I am not an AWS employee and as this is a public user forum, I am unsure where you would go to get certain approvals like that or who you would talk to. I would suggest creating a support ticket and from there, you can potentially get further information on this topic. Refer to this resource on how to submit a support ticket (Case management - AWS Support).
Hi @William_L_Morton ,
Today you can configure auto-approval of the write-back actions (such as sending email) during Flowâs schedule.
@VincentWu Thanks for the response
Here is the scheduling:
There is no indication of âRun with no confirmationâ
Hi @William_L_Morton ,
Apologies for the confusion, but since it does not give you the option to configure the auto-approval like what was previous mentioned, then the feature may still be in beta. I would recommend keeping an eye out on the âWhatâs Newâ page for any updates on this feature (Latest Whatâs New topics - Amazon Quick Community).

Since I havenât received any further updates from you, Iâll treat this inquiry as complete for now. If you have any additional questions, feel free to create a new post in the community and link this discussion for context.
