Context
I created an app in Amazon Quick that uses the Asana action connector to load and display data from my Asana workspace. The app works correctly for me (the author/owner). However, when I publish the app and share it with a teammate, they receive a “no output received from Asana” error when opening the app via the shared link.
My teammate has:
-
An active Amazon Quick account with Author Pro (or higher) access
-
Their own Asana connector set up and authenticated in their Connectors console
-
Admin-enabled access to the Asana connector
The app does NOT prompt my teammate with any authentication/authorization flow when they open it — it simply fails silently with the “no output” error.
Issue
The published app does not trigger an OAuth authorization prompt for viewers/shared users. Instead, it returns a “no output received from Asana” error. This occurs regardless of whether the viewer has their own Asana connector signed in or signed out.
Troubleshooting Steps Already Taken
-
Teammate created their own Asana connector — Set up and authenticated via Navigation side panel → More → Connectors. Did not resolve the issue.
-
Re-registered the connector in the app editor — Asked the app builder AI to retry registering the Asana connector individually, then republished the app. Did not resolve the issue.
-
Removed and re-added the Asana integration in the app editor — Asked the app builder AI to remove and re-add the Asana integration entirely, then republished. Did not resolve the issue.
-
Teammate tested with connector signed in and signed out — Opened the newly published version in both states. In neither case was an authentication prompt triggered. The same “no output received from Asana” error appeared both times.
