Hi everyone! I have a problem when I try to connect to the datasets with the “RDS” option. When I’m on the menu of creating a “New RDS data source and RDS not have table in schema”, a message in red appears where i should complete with the ID Instance, the message is: “You do not have sufficient permissions to connect to this dataset or run this query. Please contact your administrator.”
The problem is that it also appears to the administrator of the account. 4 days before, we could create datasets, but now no. How do i solve this?

Hi @lvquang9777 - Welcome to AWS QuickSight community and thanks for posting the question. As per the details, the connectivity worked before 4 days but it broken. Can you please check the user id and password and try to connect RDS from any client tool. If it worked, I will suggest to raise a ticket to AWS Customer support so that they can troubleshoot the issue. To raise a the request, please follow the below link -Creating support cases and case management - AWS Support

thanks, but if not table in schema , is it a problem ?
Hi @lvquang9777 - Are you using RDS MySQL or any other database ? in RDS MySQL there is NO schema, all tables should reside in the database. Please give more details on the database.

I using RDS MYSQL, I create new account mysql for RDS MYSQL and not grant yet permission for schema.
Hi @lvquang9777 - Thanks. when you create the user in the database ( the user which is used to establish the connectivity) should have select privilege so that from QuickSight it is able to connect and access the data. Please grant the select permission.
