Filter not working with one value only

Hi,

I have only one value available, and the filter shows the value and the option ‘select all’. The filtered table shows all values available instead of the selected date.

I opened a ticket back in 07/2022, and it was acknowledged by AWS, but it seems that nothing has been done since then.

Is there any update on this issue?

Thanks,
Art

Hello @ArtSal

Will that filter ever have more than one value or should it always be that?

You could create a parameter control instead with that value as the default if it will never change, then in the control settings click the box to not show “select all” if there is a default.

Hi @duncan

The filter is dynamic. Based on a user, it has different value/s. We are using RLS to determine what data should be visible to the user.
Do I understand correctly that the issue hasn’t been addressed by the QS team yet?

Hi Artur @ArtSal ,

Are your date drop down control and main table fed from different datasets?
If so, can you use the main table’s dataset to drive the control as well?

Hi Arun @ArunSanthosh
We use one dataset to serve parameters controls, and then we have another datasets that have filters based on those parameters. The main datasets can’t drive controls.
It was communicated that QS dev team is aware of this issue and are working on it. That was about 2.5 years ago, so I am wondering if there are any plans to fix it.
Best,
Artur
