Quick Sight: Pixel Perfect Report Schedule error

Hi Community,

I setup a new Pixel Perfect Dashboard and did a test run and got the email. Then I scheduled the dashboard to run daily. But when the scheduled dashboard refresh runs it is sending me the following email.

Hello,

You are receiving this email because you are the owner of this dashboard:

Your scheduled data refresh has not completed successfully. The data refresh must be working properly before your scheduled dashboard report can run.

To fix the issue, verify your data source settings and refresh the data manually.

I found a community post from last year that reported a similar issue and the root cause mentioned was that a prior dataset failure was causing the schedule to raise this error; though recent runs may have run sucessfully. The solution given was that doing a manual refresh will solve the problem.

I tried that but it does not resolve my issue. I have already raised a ticket with AWS. While I get a response to the ticket I wanted to check with the community if anyone came across similar issues and have been able to resolve the same.

I raised the issue with AWS and they responded saying the Dashboard refresh could be an issue and if the refresh is running while the dashboard publishing is scheduled this issue may occur.

The solution was to change the dashboard publish schedule to avoid the clash with the dataset refresh and it worked.

Ideally, I would have liked the currently commited data in the dataset to be used for publishing.
