I have setup a daily schedule to generate a report from a QS dashboard. The report is not getting generated every day as per schedule. However, we can see that the data has been updated in the back end QS analysis file. Is there any RC hypothesis that explains such occurrences?

Thank you for sharing, this is very interesting. A couple small things that you could possibly check:
- Confirm that the Email is correct in the Email recipients section
- Is your QuickSight account attached to your Email?
- Are there any RLS restrictions on the datasets that might keep it from sending?
- Is the dashboard you’re scheduling for send shared with the user the Email is being sent to?
- Did it possibly show up in your spam/junk folder?
I would start by checking those things and if it’s still not working, I would suggest deleting the schedule and trying to create a new one. If that is still not working, you can submit a support ticket.
One last thing to note, if it’s important to receive by a specific time each day, the time you set up in the schedule will be the time that it starts the process of sending. This may take some time depending on the size of your dashboard. So I would suggest setting up a few minutes before your desired time as well if that’s the case.

The issue is email gets generated on some days and not on others. So all the above raised questions are not valid in this scenario.
However, i did reach out to the Quicksight Push team and got to know that when there is a overlap between data refresh and report schedule, the report schedule will fail because an incomplete report might be generated.
