I have a couple visuals that rely in another dataset to refresh in order for the related datasets to then refresh. I monitor the parent dataset to ensure it has current information and set my child datasets to refresh after the parent does to make sure they all work continuously and without any errors. However, after everything refreshes I have visuals that show “No Data” even though all the datasets have refreshed. This leads to my report not being emailed out since the email will flag for missing data. Can anyone help me understand why it states there is no data even though there is?
Thank for getting back to me. This is a two tiered issue. First issue is that the data set shows no data after the refresh has been completed for all the data sets involved. So then a secondary refresh has to be manually done to ensure the dashboard has data for the visuals.
Secondly, the e-mail shows an error when the dashboard visuals show data thanks to the steps taken above to make sure that the visuals don’t cause any errors.
Hi @Jesse1 - Let’s understand the first issue. When you are mentioning the data set shows no row after all data sets are refreshed. I am assuming you created a custom data sets, can you see whether any join break?
if possible see the data set panel for custom data set and see whether you are able to see any sample record or not.
